NuScale Power Stock Surges on U.S.-U.K. Nuclear Energy Partnership
NuScale Power (SMR) shares jumped 18.2% following a $350 billion U.S.-U.K. agreement to collaborate on AI, quantum computing, and nuclear energy. While the deal includes significant nuclear investments, NuScale itself was not named among the beneficiaries.
The U.K. will receive £150 billion ($195 billion), with the remaining $155 billion allocated to U.S. projects. Nuclear initiatives include a $5.3 million HALEU fuel supply deal and a plan to build up to 12 advanced modular reactors worth £40 billion. Notably, all participating companies are privately held, limiting direct public market exposure.
